A Huddle Audible: Messaging for Selling!

Let’s Call an Audible:

Campaign – Call to Action – Influencers – Network – Customer Outcomes

I’ve written on messaging and spoken about messaging to outcomes in past posts and recently there were great examples of several who are currently pitching new books this holiday season and crushing it. I’ve watched two authors turn their audience into customers and influencers leading up to their releases. These two have sent out pre-release copies and have given away copies of their books for a review in return. Each recipient posts their gratitude for receiving the book and later posts their review and highlights what they have learned from the book. Brilliant! Customer Outcomes in Their Words and in Their Network!

One has driven the book to the top of Amazon’s new releases and the other is also in the top five. One makes concerted efforts to post videos on nuggets of wisdom several times a week keeping the audience engaged and the book top of mind. Brilliant calls-to-action, customer engagement and the creation of influencers who share the outcomes that they attached to while consuming the books. Many lessons in these campaigns.

There is another upcoming release where the author posted a video of receiving the book, no links, no teaser of the books topic. In another post, there was a picture of the book and again, no call-to-action, no teaser, no link to go pre-order. What is the book about? What compels me to dig deeper? No click through to the Amazon page to learn more, just a hope that on my own I might go looking for more, but I wasn’t intrigued enough to search on my own?

Outcomes shared and staying top of mind   OR   Hoping for a search and an order

I go with messaging and selling outcomes every time. Compelling content is king, intrigue me and take me to your call-to-action.

What do you think? What messaging and activity catches your attention?
